As this is a networked course, meaning we are connecting beyond the learning management system, we will use this form to collect your consent to use different technologies and social media and to invite you to share your topics of interest.

If you would prefer to stay offline, please share your responses to all or any these questions with your instructor via email to diglit@uvic.ca or, feel free to contact your instructor to discuss how to provide responses in another way.

Please note SurveyMonkey is a cloud-based tool located outside of Canada. Entering your name here or on any of the aforementioned tools means that information and any other information you choose to share will be disclosed and stored on their servers. It is not practicable to identify where the servers are located for these cloud tools, except to say they are located outside of Canada (except Wordpress on opened.ca or on edtechuvic.ca and Mattermost) which are located within Canada). * 3. We ask that you create a username only on the Open EdTech Collective (OpenETC). Please visit their "Get Started" page and create a username (which can be your name, a username, or a pseudonym as per your privacy preferences). Do *not* do step 2 to create a site at this time. Once done, please provide your OpenETC username below. Need help? Post to "Tech Help" channel on Mattermost or email your instructor.

Note: This username will be used later to create a Wordpress blog for you to use for this course which will be hosted in Canada on BC Educloud. You do have the option of using an existing Wordpress blog or suggesting an alternative process to blogging, in which case you can skip the username step, and discuss the option with your instructor. Please note that you do have the option to set your blog to private (although the blog URL and blog title will be public) or you can set individual blog posts to private.

This is like an Instagram feed, but would be an aggregated feed of blog posts by all learners in the course who opt to subscribe their public blog posts to the blog feed.
