Welcome to the CMLTO Council public engagement survey.

The College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) protects the public’s right to safe, competent, ethical healthcare by regulating the professionals who conduct and analyze medical lab tests across the province. The CMLTO is the regulatory body for approximately 7,000 medical laboratory technologists (MLTs) who practise in Ontario.

The Council is the governing body (or board of directors) of CMLTO. It establishes the CMLTO’s strategic direction including the key outcomes to be achieved which influence the CMLTO’s strategy. The Council also governs organizational risk and oversees operations through the Registrar & CEO. It carefully monitors results achieved and progress on policy development and compliance.

The CMLTO’s role, programs, and governance all contribute to making the medical laboratory profession accountable to ensure Ontarians receive quality laboratory services from competent and ethical professionals.
